It was a pleasure photographing this wedding with my friend Elizabeth from Sewickley Photography last month. I had the opportunity to accompany them for their engagement session and Liz contacted me later to see if I would tag along to capture Ryan and Shannon’s special day. They decided to get married at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. It’s a beautiful venue and very interesting. You can walk through the different rooms and find very creative work from artists all over Pittsburgh. It allowed Ryan and Shannon to have family portraits inside while the day outside was hot and humid. The ceremony took place at Melon Park followed by their reception at the Center. Thank you so much Liz for asking me to join you. It was a hot but beautiful day to work together.

Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. All the wedding details were bright and colorful.Ryan and Shannon decided on a “First Look” to have time to spend with their families and friends during cocktail hour and have portraits before the ceremony.I love their reactions. All the bridesmaids were wearing beautiful blue dresses.
The groom and the groomsmen had to remove their blazers because it was very hot outside; they had the bride’s permission to do so!
The bouquets were beautiful. This is my favorite room at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. Shannon’s mom prepping her before formal portraits.Ryan’s mom and Shannon’s sister waiting for their turn.Shannon had umbrellas and hand fans for all the guests during the ceremony. Here is the groom moments before the ceremony started.Waiting for his future wife…This was so cute, one of the flower girls saw her daddy down the aisle and took off running…you could hear a big “AWWW” from guests. Here comes the bride with her dad and grandfather. As they were exchanging vows, the bride wanted to make sure she could see Ryan’s eyes….it was a funny moment. My angle on their first kiss….you can see Elizabeth’s right here
Shannon had these bobble head cake toppers made as a surprise to Ryan. These are the reactions to her surprise.
