Do you remember Jim and Alyssa from their colorful and beautiful engagement session at the Mexican War Streets this past April? CLICK HERE to see more. I’ve being excited about their wedding all summer long. I knew it was going to be a beautiful day no matter what the weather decided to do. Jim and Alyssa are so great together and after meeting both their families I know exactly why. Surrounded by their family and friends they tied the knot at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church and celebrated their wedding at the Riverside Landing. The day was filled with emotions, surprises and that sense of “it was meant to be”. Here is the story of their wedding day.
I was so excited to meet Annabelle, Alyssa and Jim’s daughter. It was beautiful to see how this little girl was as excited as her mom.
Alyssa’s mom helping her with her veil. While the ladies were getting ready at Alyssa and Jim’s house, my assistant Dave was with Jim at his parent’s house, what a lovely and funny couple I must say! They told me Jim teases his mom because according to him he could have being taller if it wasn’t for her – LOL….Jim, you are tall enough!!When Alyssa asked me if it was o.k for us to stop at Hartwood Acres for bridal portraits, my YES! could have not being any more enthusiastic. Hartwood Acres is a gorgeous place.
Isn’t Alyssa a GORGEOUS bride?YES! and YES! These two images “SERIOUSLY” made me cry. In my mind I kept thinking….”this is how a dad must feel when he walks his daughter down the aisle, he is walking his little girl to be married” – Alyssa’s dad walking down Annabelle before he walked Alyssa down. And this is what we all see when he walks her down the aisle…. Image by Dave. After the ceremony, we went back to Hartwood Acres. Image by Dave. I love the image on the left, you can see how tall Jim is. I love fall and all the beautiful colors. The beautiful cake was made by Susan Bruder. MARRIED!wohoooTom, Jim’s brother, had a touching yet funny speech prepared for them. Alyssa’s mom encouraging her husband. He got a little teary before starting his speech.
Let’s get this party started…
Now wai-a-ait a minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are the last shots of the night. Alyssa said to me that all her wishes were coming true…- just like the little mermaid, she said!
