What I see 🆚 What you see.

When my clients ask me about location for their portraits, sometimes I have the oddest places in mind.

I tell my clients that sometimes location is not everything. I think I prefer great lighting over a beautiful backdrop.

Often times, portrait clients request closeups of their images which means, the backdrop is cropped out or blurred but what is consistent with a great image is beautiful lighting.

Don’t get me wrong, having a portrait of you with the city in the background is one of the many images you would receive in a gallery but more often than not, those closeups are some of my client’s favorites.

I photographed a beautiful maternity session yeste

I photographed a beautiful maternity session yesterday, even though I will not be posting images, as per client’s request, it reminded me of how amazing a woman’s body is.

Growing a human being is not an easy feast, although some women have a smoother time than others, we still suffer from swelling, acid reflux among other things.

From my experience, things were rough the first trimester. I lost 15 lbs from how sick I felt but it helped me keep my weight gain total to only 18 lbs, most all of it towards my last trimester 😂

I had a healthy 7 lbs baby and walked out of the hospital almost back to my original weight. That baby turned 12 this past Tuesday and I still can’t believe it’s been 12 years since I went through pregnancy with my mini-me.

This momma here should be having her baby soon and I am sending a prayer 🤲 to all my pregnant clients about to have babies. May your experience be as wonderful as mine.

"Have faith" - it's what he says as his promise. When those words come out of his mouth, I know my daddy is going to make it happen. We joke about it, but it has become his way of saying, I've got you, I am here for you and every single time he's said it to me, or my daughter, he's made it happen. I am not going to lie, I hope for those words when I miss him like crazy and I want to see him. He is a wealth of knowledge but also of unconditional love. I love you dad. Happy Father's Day.

It wouldn’t have been a memorable #chezgarageproject anniversary session if it wasn’t for this gorgeous woman, who btw started it all with me, plus a little bit of rain, thunder and a very hot overcast afternoon. Hey 👋 I love a challenge.

But we re-evaluated, we adapted and in the end, to make it even more challenging, we used different backdrops, because one wasn’t enough to commemorate this special occasion.

I cannot put it into words how much I LOVE 💕 these sessions with all these amazing women but @laurenmoffe you will always be my first Chez Garage Project Session Muse. Love you girl 😘
