If you saw my LIVE this morning you know I was doing a photo session with my sister @ileanaforerophotobranding at 7 AM in Boquete, Chiriqui.

After the session at the park (Live video on my feed) we went to have breakfast and, yes my sister looked this fancy having French toasts and a coffee 😂 at a very small restaurant in town, but later we stopped by this beautiful waterfall and had to stop to take one of my favorites from her session.

As a photographer, sometimes I look at an image and think 🤔 did I take that? And trust me, we would look at a photo and like it for completely different reasons. My favorites from a client’s session could be the ones I know lighting was a bit more challenging, or the one where I captured a real smile after a very silly joke.

Regardless of which are my favorites, it never ceases to amaze me how many are favorites simply because we had a great photography experience. Don’t get me wrong, experience goes a long way but what happens if that knowledge cannot be delivered or interpreted smoothly? Things get awkward.

Talk to your photographer. See if they connect with your vision, if they click with your personality, if you feel comfortable, I bet it will make your photography experience much better..
