To all my couples out there – there is light at the end of this Covid tunnel. This week, I had the opportunity to photograph Doug and Sharon’s engagement and although it was slightly different, it was still MAGICAL!
But before you browse through this beautiful gallery, I want to assure you that it is possible to do these and still keep our distance. It certainly was not the norm for me to show up to an engagement session and not hug my clients. I am after all, a hugger.
After our initial introductions, minus the hugs, I proceeded to use my 85 mm and 135 mm lenses. Both lenses produce beautiful bohek (you know, where the subjects are in focus and the background is blurry) and it allowed me to direct, or in this case, encourage Doug and Sharon to just be themselves.
The results were a dream. I cannot thank Sharon and Doug for their patience and for keeping their distance although I wanted to smoother them with hugs. Here is my first engagement session in the time of Covid.
