One of the many things we face as photographers is the weather. If you live in Texas, you know that summer can be very hot and humid. Some of the ways we circumvent these challenges, when it comes to outdoor sessions is scheduling them at sunrise or late in the day when the temperatures are much cooler.
We can wait until the weather is cooler but some couples do not have the option of waiting as they sometimes book my services in the Spring to then have their wedding in the Fall.
Sunset lighting is beautiful in Texas but summer afternoons can sometimes be overwhelmingly hot, depending on the day. For those couples that aren’t able to wait, there is the option of a sunrise session.
Some of my favorite sessions happen when everyone is still at home. Don’t get me wrong, sunrise sessions are not for everyone because we start the sessions at 7am (no later) which means you need to wake up really early to get ready and drive to the location. But, if you are a morning couple, this should not be hard to achieve and the results are beautiful. Here is Kacy and Lizzy’s sunrise session.
