As a photographer, sometimes I look at an image and think 🤔 did I take that? And trust me, we would look at a photo and like it for completely different reasons. My favorites from a client’s session could be the ones I know lighting was a bit more challenging, or the one where I captured a real smile after a very silly joke.

Regardless of which are my favorites, it never ceases to amaze me how many are favorites simply because we had a great photography experience. Don’t get me wrong, experience goes a long way but what happens if that knowledge cannot be delivered or interpreted smoothly? Things get awkward.

Talk to your photographer. See if they connect with your vision, if they click with your personality, if you feel comfortable, I bet it will make your photography experience much better..

2025 in some of the many photographs I had the hon

2025 in some of the many photographs I had the honor of capturing.

This past year I was able to photograph business owners, kitchens, headshots at a conference, families, horses, my own family, seniors, and many other experiences.

I traveled to Pittsburgh, New Mexico, Vegas and Saint Louis.

Met new people and saw many business entrepreneurs grow.

I hope I am lucky enough this year to experience more of these blessings and many more.

Goodbye 2025! You’ve been an amazing year. Aside from a few bumps in the road at the beginning, things got back on track and I was blessed with many opportunities and chances to work with wonderful people, not to mention doing what I am passionate about.

I would like to write down some of the things I would love to manifest in 2026:

- Get healthier
- Move more (give me some fun ideas in the city of Austin)
- See more people in person
- Less social media (stop comparison)
- Photograph for fun
- Be brave and teach a class (anyone?)
- Start a podcast? Uhm maybe?
- Write and read more
